I had a lot of tubes lying around, so I decided to build a tube amplifier. The circuit diagram is drawn by Mat Jansen on “elektronicaforum” (Thanks Mat!). Link.

Today I bought the transformers that I’m going to use as output transformers.

Component layout:

The connections:

Mains switch, Power connector, 2 speaker connectors, RCA connector

Volume knob:

The power transformers.

The left transformer provides 200VAC. The right transformer provides 15VAC glow voltage.

I received 4 tube sockets from Pollin today. Now I can start building.

The amplifier is almost finished, but testing points out that I have a nasty 50Hz buzz on the output.
